He said categorically that Buhari has the chances of winning if he does not rely too much on the glory of the past. However, he also said that the incumbent “President Goodluck Jonathan may win by a very slim margin but he must obey God’s warnings by being careful of those that work with him”.
Looking through some old interviews with Primate Ayodele, divine messages concerning various happenings in Nigeria, regarding the last general elections can be revealed.
In The Guardian on July 13, 2013 page 13, Primate Elijah Ayodele foretold that “Jonathan will not win in 2015”.
In an interview with the Daily Independent on January 3, 2015, the servant of God said: “PDP will find it hard to retain Kaduna, Kano state would be difficult for PDP to win likewise Katsina state. APC will win Sokoto state.”

In the Top Celebrities magazine on January 21, 2014, Primate Ayodele said: “INEC will use electronic voting system but it will not work”. Ahead of this particular prediction, the Primate had warned Nigerians to watch out as “the rigging in the 2015 general elections will be advanced and scientific. Nigeria will seek help to fight Boko Haram.” In an interview with the Sun on December 28, 2014, Primate Ayodele said that “APC will fail in Delta, Rivers and Cross River States”. “If APC embark on aggressive grassroots campaign, the party will win presidential election in 2015 but if they rely on the past glory of Buhari, PDP will win,” he said.
He also said that “Jonathan will be the last president PDP will produce in Nigeria”.
Primate Ayodele also said in an interview granted the Weekend Champion on June 16, 2012, that “the governors will gang up against Jonathan and PDP may lose the central government in 2015″.
In an interview he granted the Global Excellence magazine in December, 2014, Primate Ayodele said that “the international community doesn’t want Jonathan to return in 2015 and they will collaborate to work against his interest”. “Chief Obasanjo will not forgive Jonathan and will continue to work against him. President Jonathan will have problems winning the core Northan states despite his foot soldiers effort, there will be problems in the Northan states for President Jonathan that does not say he won’t win some Northan states,” he said.
The cleric said if President Jonathan wants to win he must address the issue of the Chibok girls properly, these are the things that can give President Jonathan a landslide victory.
“President Jonathan must work on first lady’s office because this is one of the factors that may work against his second term victory,” he added.

According to the respected man of God, this tells us that fulfilled prophecy is proof of God. It also proves that God spoke through His prophets as recorded in the Bible for our benefit today. Fulfilled prophecy should motivate us to look at the prophecies of the future and realize that they will come to pass as well.
