Danfo Driver Beats Policewoman In Lagos

A 28-year-old danfo driver has allegedly bitten a police woman in Lagos.
The commuter bus driver, Oluwaya Eshe, was said to have attacked two policewomen, Omowumi Aliu and Adebisi Bamiu attached to Isheri Oshun.

According to PM News, the two policewoman had accosted Eshe for going against traffic along Ikotun-Ijegun road in Ijegun in Lagos. The driver in a bid to defend himself started exchanging words which later resulted in fighting.

When the officials decided to take Eshe’s bus to the station, he resisted, allegedly by attacking the officers. He allegedly tore their uniforms and bit Bamiu on her hand, resulting in injury. Other officers intervened in the matter by dragging him to a nearby police station.

He has been charged to court with assault, tearing of police uniform and a human bite under the Criminal Code before Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs J. O. E. Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
