If you are an avid Instagram user, and you have got lots of fake followers/accounts then you should know about this crack down known as the Instagram rapture.

The social media App is now wiping out millions of fake and spammed accounts and everyone is affected especially celebrities with millions of followers.
Singer Justin Beiber topped the list losing 3.5 million fans, followed by Kim Kardashian who lost 1.3 million followers. Pop star, Rihanna lost 1.2 million.

Katy Perry’s went down 300,000 and talk show host, Oprah lost 100,000.
Rapper, Tyga saw his followers drop from 5.5 million to 2.2 million, while Ma$e deleted his account after freefalling from 1.6 million followers to around 100,000....even our Nigerian celebrities are not left out too.
But unlike their foreign counterparts who lost millions of followers, Nigerian celebrities only lost a few thousands. Super star actress, Geneveive Nnaji who had over 400,00 followers now has about 320,000 followers left.

Reacting to the loss, she posted a meme that reads “,you all better be happy it was followers they took away instead of the filters”. 2face Idibia, Tonto Dikeh, Don Jazzy, Rita Dominic, Tiwa Savage and many more lost followers too.
The crackdown which kicked off this week is still ongoing, and people are freaking out.
