A mysterious and inexplicable image of a human being that closely resembles the Virgin Mary has appeared on a tree in Iowa, USA.
The unusual 1m 82 cm tall tree was first spotted last week, causing a sensation between believers and sceptics alike. Some of the believers say that they see the mother of Jesus Christ holding a baby Jesus.
The sudden appearance of the image has caused a sensation among locals, religious followers who live nearby have begun laying flowers at the feet of the Virgin Mary image.

One of the locals said, “It makes me wonder how it got there. Was it struck by lightning? Was there a disease? You know, the flowers sitting there. So, I would say that other people are seeing the same thing I see.”
Scientists could argue that the image is simply a case of pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon where humans attempt to interpret nonsensical images or illusions.
Actually, this is not the first time a religious-themed images appear in different corners of the world. A month ago an unusual depiction of the son of God appeared in one of the old British house. In summer a christian man claimed that he had found Jesus image in the skin of one of his apples, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
