A retired staff of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) at Agbado Station in Ogun State simply identified as Peters was on Thursday crushed to death by a passenger train. According to an eyewitness the deceased fell in the median of two coaches, an incident which has become regular on the rail track in Lagos, according to NAN reports.
The deceased who was reportedly preparing for his daughter’s wedding coming up on Nov. 1 was employed by the corporation on casual basis as a ticket checker after his formal retirement from the NRC. The witness said that the deceased fell while trying to move from one coach to the other to check passengers’ tickets. NAN reports that the mutilated body of the deceased was covered with cellophane and put in a corner of the station as at the time of this report.
