Nigerian teenager emerges youngest councillor in UK

Aisha Eniola has won an election into the Brent Council in London, having become the youngest Councillor in the United Kingdom.
Aisha, aged 19, showed brilliant oratorial skills during the pre-election debates winning the hearts of the ward residents.
With 2,160 votes Aisha, the Labour candidate, prevailed over the Green Party candidate (459 votes) and the Liberal Democrat (313 votes), Tribune reports.
The great granddaughter of the late Ohinoyi of Oboroke-Ihima, Chief Audu Ojunu, defeated Simon Erskine, of the Green Party, who garnered 459 votes and Paul Fowler, of the Liberal Democrat, who polled 313.
The final year student in one of London universities later stated she hoped to inspire young people to go take active party in the political life.
