MilitaryTake Over The City Of Jos
Confusion arose in Jos, Plateau State capital, as the residents woke up Monday morning to see the whole city sealed off by the security agencies.
According to Punch, there was heavy presence of military and soldiers in the metropolis. Moreover, the stretch of Ahmadu Bello Way, Muritala Mohammed Way, Bauchi Road and Rwang Pam Street were filled with tanks blocking major highways for both autos and pedestrians.
Business place were not allowed to open. Movement in Jos was to a certain extent paralyzed, as many motorists did not know which road to pass through. Some people were forced to return home upon being prevented by heavily-armed men from going along the roads they needed.
At the time of filing this report no official information had been provided about the reason of the action, however Punch reports with reference to the top source in the Special Task Force (STF) that Vice President Namadi Sambo plans to visit the Terminus Market and Bauchi Road affected by recent bombings, which claimed hundreds of lives.

"I am currently in Rwang Pam Street, with the Jos Terminus axis and businesses, shops, banks, etc are closed. This is a surprise to everyone. We would like the Plateau State Government to at least explain what is going on... we have radio and tv stations."
