US Presidential poll: Donald Trump pulls ahead of Hillary Clinton 9 weeks away from election


Ahead of the November 8 US presidential election, Republican party candidate Donald Trump has edged out Hillary Clinton by two points among likely voters, in a new poll organized by CNN/ORC.
Trump tops Clinton 45% to 43% in the new survey, with Libertarian Gary Johnson standing at 7% among likely voters in this poll and the Green Party's Jill Stein at just 2%.

President Buhari won’t spare anyone found to be corrupt- Rotimi Amaechi says


Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, has said President Buhari will not spare anyone involved in acts of corruption, not even any member of his cabinet. Amaechi said this when he delivered a keynote speech at a Cambridge University symposium yesterday September 5th.

We will protect foreign investments in Nigeria, Pres Buhari assures Japanese Prime Minister


President Buhari, over the weekend strongly assured existing and prospective foreign investors that their investments in Nigeria will be fully secured and protected. Speaking at a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, on the sidelines of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Nairobi, Kenya, President Buhari outlined several steps taken by his administration to secure the country and ease doing business in Nigeria.

Photo: I killed my girlfriend for the fun of it- Suspected ritualist


 A 22-year-old Oweniwe Chukwudi (pictured) who has been arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Adeyeye Nifemi, says he killed her for the fun of it and not for rituals as being speculated.

Chukwudi, who is a National Diploma student of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, denied removing body parts of the deceased after he murdered her.

Scam: EFCC arrests man for conning Vietnamese woman out of $145,000 with false promise of marriage


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, arrested one Iwuchukwu Martin Uche for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of USD145, 000. Uche, who claimed to be a military officer working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO in Kabul, Afghanistan allegedly, collected the money from his victim, H. Uyen, a Viatnamese woman, after promising to marry her.

Photos: Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye takes up full responsibility for the quadruplets born at Redemption Camp


A woman on Thursday, August 4th, delivered a set of quadruplets, 3 boys and one girl, during the just concluded 64th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God held at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.  It was the first time in the history of the convention that a woman would give birth to quadruplets.
